It was 12h40 on 3-Nov-2021. Whilst I was crossing a zebra-crossing (half-way) on la rue Saint-Lazare in Paris, an electric scooter was traveling in my direction. According to my colleague, the electric scooter had hit me on my left hip before stopping and I fell to the ground. However, I thought I had fallen on my own to avoid the electric scooter.
After the accident, I have a few points of reflection:
1) We can have different perspectives to the same incident. In the case of this accident, both my colleague and the driver of the electric scooter thought I was hit by it, but I don’t think so. After all, by the grace of God, I was not injured except a sizable bruise on my left hip according to the X-ray taken at the clinic afterward the accident.
2) Friends are acquittances are important in our lives. Without my colleague offering help, the situation would have been much worse for me.
3) It was a good opportunity to learn more about the procedure in France when an accident happens (a few forms for the government). It is useful to know for living in France.

Il était environ 12h40 le 3 nov. 2021. Je traversais la rue Saint-Lazare à Paris à un passage pour piéton avec mon collègue, un scooter électrique roulait dans ma direction. Selon mon collègue, il a frappé ma hanche gauche avant de freiner. Par conséquent, je suis tombé par terre. Toutefois, je crois que je suis tombé moi-même pour éviter le scooter et il ne m’a pas touché
Apres l’accident, j’avais plusieurs points de réflexion :
1) On peut avoir plusieurs perspectives pour le même incident. Comme cet accident, mon collègue et le conducteur du scooter pensent que le scooter m’a frappé, mais je ne pense pas. Après tous, grâce à dieu, j’étais uniquement légèrement blessé avec un bleu sur ma hanche gauche et rien n’a été cassé d’après / selon la radio à la clinique.
2) Les amis et les connaissances jouent un rôle important dans la vie. Si mon collègue n’avait pas été là pour m’aider, la situation aurait été plus difficile pour moi.
3) C’était une occasion pour comprendre avec patience un peu plus les procédures dans le système français en cas d’accident de voiture (le constat et certificat médical d’accident de travail). C’est utile pour la vie en France.
