Last weekend, I took part in a 10-km run with some friends for charity. Fifteen minutes before the start of the event, three people were still missing. I then asked the organizer if we could call them. She replied with frustration, “I am not their mom. ALL the information was in the email to them.”
Well – in my mind, I thought that perhaps it would have been better if she had played the role of a parent. It means reminding the participants as well as keeping all the contact information to make sure all turns out well. Sometimes in life, it is not a matter of claiming responsibility but of achieving the objective set out.

Le week-end dernier, j’ai participé à un événement collectif avec mes amis : une course de 10 km pour une association caritative. Environ 15 minutes avant le début de l’événement, il nous manquait encore trois personnes.
Par conséquent, j’ai demandé à la personne qui avait organisé cet événement si l’on pouvait les appeler. Elle m’a répondu, un peu frustrée : « Je ne suis pas leur maman ! TOUTES les informations sont dans le mail ! »
Bon, dans ma tête, je me suis dit qu’il aurait peut-être mieux valu qu’elle joue le rôle d’un parent. C’est-à-dire, rappeler les participants et garder leurs informations afin de s’assurer que tout se passe bien.
Parfois, dans la vie, ce n’est pas une question de responsabilité, mais de garantir des résultats favorables.
